A Woman Who Cuts Her Hair Is About To Change Her Life- Coco Chanel

By February 2, 2017Hair

Whether it be a regular chop or a complete restyle your hair means a lot to you as  it is the crown you never take off!

Everyone hopes and wishes to have strong and healthy hair but we all do something different to our hair whether it be colouring, heated styling, perming or wearing our hair up a lot we are compromising the condition!

However there are a few ways to maintain strong healthy hair just by changing a few things;

1- wash your hair every 2-3 days to allow the natural oils of your hair to coat itself. Overwashing your hair can cause colour fade, dry hair, dry and flaky scalp. When shampooing your hair make sure you are using the best shampoo specifically catered for your hair; if your hair is dry go for moisturising, if there is a build up of product go for cleansing, if you have dry and destructed brittle hair go for a protein based shampoo.

Fancy trying a new shampoo? Ask advice on our Davines range and we can help you find the best hair regime for you(:

2- regular trims, on average every 6-10 weeks is when you should have your hair cut to maintain the condition and to keep strong. There is a new term of trimming called ‘Dusting’ this is when your stylist will just dust the ends to remove any dead or splits just to strengthen it back up again you may not even notice the difference in length but you will notice the difference in the condition and overall look.
